How to: Save Money

Money is almost always on everyone's mind. It is something very important. So if you are saving up, or running out, here are some tips to help you save your money.

1. Save the Tip
I know sometimes when you are given a few coins of change it is annoying to carry around, but, if you keep collecting your tips overtime, you will be surprised by how many coins you have. And then, you can sort your coins into money!

2. Use Money Instead of a Credit Card
I know purchasing with a credit card is soooo much easier. But, with some cards, when you get the bill, you have to pay the company a little bit extra. If you pay with money, it may be a bit of a hassle, but in the end, so much more worth it.

3. Only Buy Things you Need
Everyone has been there where they see a cute shirt, buy it, and then never wear it. So if all of your clothes are too small for you, then it's time to go shopping. Same thing for food. You want to buy that pack of gum, but instead you really need dinner for tonight. And basically the same goes for everything. You may want that cute lamp from target, but you really need laundry detergent.

4. Plan, Plan, Plan
There are so many things you could plan to save money for. For example, you could plan your meals for the week and only go to the store to buy ingredients for those meals. You could plan how much money you spend for different categories. Such as clothing, food, etc.

5. Minimize the Water and Electricity
This really  only applies if you own a house or apartment and have a water and electricity bill. If there is a nice day, open all your windows and let the light in. Only take a shower if you need to or go check out a previous post on How to: Make your Shower Time Shorter. I know this may seem gross, but if you are going pee, don't flush after because flushing uses lots of water. So I recommend flushing after a few times of going pee to save water.

I hope you found these tips helpful. Let everyone know in the comments if you know other ways of how to save money. Now save up and go get what you want (treat yo self... Only once in a while).

Happy Saving,
-Caroline

How to: Make your Showering Time Shorter

I hope I'm not the only one that takes a long time when it comes to showering. And I somehow find myself rinsing out my hair and then my come in and tell me my shower has been too long.

Here are some tips I have learned overtime to shorten my showering time.

- Before showering rinse your face with water in the sink and apply face wash.
- Before showering also apply soap
- step in the shower and wash off soap and face wash and rinse hair while the water warms up.
- Then apply shampoo and conditioner as usual

I hope you all enjoyed this post and found these tips helpful.
Have a great day,

Winter Storm Stella - A Snow Day

As many may have heard, there has been a humongous winter storm named Stella, sweeping across the US. An just yesterday, it hit New England and areas around there. The snow was starting really early in the morning and kept on going continuously throughout the day. I'm pretty sure everyone didn't have school. More towards the afternoon the snow was coming down really hard. You would shovel one part of your driveway, and a minute or so later, it was covered again. I don't know why, but my mom went to work, and I was on duty for shoveling the driveway. I shoveled the driveway around 11 or so and I was struggling to keep it clear. And finally when she arrived, she rolled up the driveway and parked the car. The minute she stepped out of the car, with the door still open, the car started rolling down the driveway. I know it may seem stupid, but my mom held onto the door, which helped the car curve and not go onto the street, but more on the sidewalk. It was a scary moment, but it was definitely not the first time it has happened. It has happened about 5 times. Pro tip, if you live in New England or a place that gets lots of snow, I recommend getting snow tires for the winter. You see, my car didn't, so that is most likely why it slid down my driveway. Now my older sister came out to help quickly shovel the driveway, and put sand on the driveway. We didn't want the car to slide down the driveway, so we got rocks ready to place behind each tire so the car wouldn't roll. Kind of like if you have ever been on a large ferry with the elevated sides, they put blocks behind the cars that are on the ramps, so they won't roll. And the rock technique worked.

A few hours later I believe, it started raining. And the rain was not ideal at all. The snow was already really heavy, and the rain just made everything into slush, which it super heavy. After a few hours the rain stopped and nothing much happened for a long time. Snow plows were going through the streets and clearing them. Then later at night, it started snowing all over again, covering the ground with a new layer of white. At that time, my school was open on Wednesday, and everyone was praying for a closing. Keep in mind, that this snow day will possibly be our only non full week in March. I know that may seem like we're being babies, but from Winter break all the way through February vacation. And from February vacation all the way through April break (last week of April). And going from no full weeks, to full weeks every week, it's rough, not going to lie.

If you were affected by the winter storm Stella, let me know your snowy stories in the comments below.

Stay Warm,
-Caroline

Printable Organizers

Hi everyone! I feel like I've been a little bit off of my game recently in terms of posting. I'm sorry about that. It's just that this time of the year is championship time so there are a ton of swim meets. I'm sorry this post is coming out very late, I have not been on top of my game recently.

On my recent favorites post, I mentioned some printable calendars and organizers. And I wanted to make a more elaborate post about it for you all.

📅 Printable Calendars 📅:
Why buy a calendar when you can print one online for free?

📅 #1:
from

Here is what it looks like for this month (it is actually in color)
📅 #2:
from
Here is what it looks like (also originally in color)

📅 Comparison:
I think that 📅 #2 is more practical than 📅 #1. 📅 #2 has boxes for the days so you can write things that are happening on that day. Whereas 📅 #1 is more for just a show and knowing what day it is.

Organizers:
Why not get yourself more organized with just a few printed pieces of paper?

Planner:
I love this website because there are so many options of planners and colors of your planner

Day by Day:
from
This is more of a what you need to do for the day kind of to do list. I used it a few times and I really like it.

I hope you all enjoyed this post. Sorry it's coming out late, and I have been off of my game.

Have a great day,
-Caroline :)
